Pre-Treatment Information

Eyebrow procedures:

If waxing or threading before appointment, please leave at least 48 hours before the procedure.
No caffeine or alcohol 24 hours before the appointment.
Eyebrow tinting should not be undertaken for two weeks prior to the procedure.
Botox treatments minimum 4 weeks before or after. Sunbathing/sunbeds minimum 4 weeks.
Avoid any skin peels, laser treatments, or creams with alpha hydroxy acid or glycolic or retinol around the treated area for 4 weeks before the procedure.

Please ensure the brow area is well hydrated in the weeks leading up to your semi-permanent brow appointment. Well-hydrated skin allows pigment to implant more evenly and supports better colour retention during the healing process. Dry or dehydrated skin may result in lighter healing and reduced longevity of the pigment. To prepare the skin effectively, maintain good daily water intake and moisturise the brow area as advised prior to treatment.

Lash line procedures:

You should not wear eyelash extensions, please remove them before arriving at your appointment, if you wear contact lenses you will need to bring glasses to wear immediately after your treatment.
Any eyelash serum shouldn’t be used at least 3 months before the procedure.
Eyelash tinting a minimum of 2 weeks before the procedure.
No caffeine or alcohol 24 hours before the appointment.

Lips procedures:

If you have a history of cold sores (herpes simplex) we advise you to contact your doctor to obtain acyclovir medication. This can be used for 5 days before & after to prevent and treat any cold sore outbreaks. Permanent cosmetic procedures do not cause cold sores. However, if you carry the virus, it lays dormant in the body and can be aroused by the procedure.
Lip wax or bleaching treatments should not be undertaken for at least a two-week period preceding your permanent cosmetic procedure.
If you have had any type of lip surgery, consult with the physician about how long you should wait before having a permanent makeup procedure on the lips.
No caffeine or alcohol 24 hours before the appointment.

Patients on prescription medications:

Should check with their doctor regarding interactions, especially those on heart meds, blood thinners, or with autoimmune disease. Written consent by your gp might be required. Some medications and herbs can increase swelling and bleeding.
Never discontinue a medication your doctor has recommended for you without consulting him or her. Arnica taken before and after the procedure may reduce the risk of bruising.
